14-inch business laptop for daily productivity

The Lenovo ThinkPad L14 model 20U1001VUS ships new with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and a 14.0-inch FHD IPS panel at 1920 x 1080 resolution and 250 nits brightness. A 10th Generation Intel Core i7-10510U quad-core processor running at 1.80GHz handles office workloads and web-based applications. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics drives the non-touch display without a discrete GPU.

Soldered memory and single SSD slot define upgrade

Eight gigabytes of DDR4 2667MHz memory is soldered to the board so capacity cannot be increased after purchase. Storage consists of one 256GB PCIe SSD with no secondary hard-drive bay present. The matte black chassis weighs 3.80 lbs and omits a backlit keyboard, a consideration for users who work in low-light environments.

Replaces older dual-core ultraportables

Moving from a dual-core system to this quad-core i7 yields noticeable gains in multitasking and responsiveness for typical business tasks. The jump is worthwhile when the current device struggles with multiple browser tabs, video calls and document editing simultaneously. Buyers who need more storage, user-upgradable RAM or a backlit keyboard should evaluate other configurations.
