Lenovo 54Y8862 240 W Power Supply

This Lenovo 54Y8862 unit delivers 240 W of power in a small-form-factor chassis built for the Thinkcentre M70E desktop. It is intended for IT teams or system builders who need a direct replacement that matches the original electrical and mechanical specification. The part number 54Y8862 confirms exact fitment for the supported platform.

Replaces a failed or degraded original supply

Install this unit when the existing supply no longer holds voltage under load or when the system will not start. The jump is worth it if the current unit is the limiting factor for stability and the replacement restores the designed 240 W capacity without modification. It is not for builds that require higher wattage, redundant modules or a different form factor.

Questions about this item

Will the 240 W SFF unit fit the ThinkCentre M70E chassis?

The supply uses a small-form-factor design made for the M70E case, so it slides into the dedicated PSU bay without adapters.

What is the installation step people often miss when fitting the 54Y8862?

After seating the unit, the retaining latch must click fully into the chassis slot; a loose latch causes intermittent power.
