IdeaCentre Tower 8 Ryzen 7 250 desktop

This Lenovo IdeaCentre Tower 8 is a business desktop PC powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 250 processor with integrated AMD Radeon 780M graphics. It ships with 32 GB of DDR5 memory and a 2 TB SSD running Windows 11 Home. A USB keyboard and mouse are included in the box.

Upgrading from older tower or all-in-one

The jump is worth it when your current machine struggles with 32 GB DDR5 multitasking or lacks a 2 TB NVMe boot drive. The 260 W supply and compact 11.47 x 3.5 x 13.37 in chassis limit discrete GPU upgrades, so buyers needing dedicated graphics should look elsewhere.

Tool-less access with proprietary constraints

The side panel removes without tools for memory or storage swaps, but the 260 W PSU and slim 3.5 in width restrict aftermarket cards. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth are soldered, so wireless upgrades require USB dongles. Memory maxes at 64 GB DDR5 across two slots.

Questions about this item

What clearance does the 11.47 x 3.5 x 13.37 in tower need for desk placement?

The Luna Grey chassis measures 11.47 inches wide, 3.5 inches deep and 13.37 inches tall, so allow at least those dimensions plus a few centimetres for cable routing and airflow around the 260 W supply.

Which screw or latch secures the side panel when adding a second DDR5 module up to 64 GB total?

Remove the single thumbscrew at the rear edge, slide the panel toward the back, then lift it away; the two SO-DIMM slots are exposed immediately without touching the 2 TB NVMe drive.

When should the 260 W power supply fan be cleaned to protect the Ryzen 7 250 and Radeon 780M?

Blow dust from the rear grille every six months; the fan is the only moving part and keeps the processor and integrated graphics within thermal limits under sustained loads.
