Versatile 2-in-1 laptop for everyday work

The Lenovo IdeaPad 5i 2-in-1 16" is a new touchscreen laptop built around an Intel Core 5 120U processor with 10 cores and 12 threads. It ships with 16GB DDR5 memory and a 1024GB SSD. The 16.0" WUXGA IPS panel delivers 1920 x 1200 resolution at 60Hz with 300 nits brightness and 45% NTSC coverage. Integrated Intel Graphics handle the display output. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed and a stylus pen is included in the bundle.

Home users wanting pen input on a large screen

This configuration suits students, families and office workers who value a 16.0" touch display with stylus support for note-taking or sketching. The 10-core CPU and 16GB DDR5 provide responsive multitasking for web apps, documents and media streaming. Buyers who need discrete graphics for gaming, 3D rendering or video editing should look elsewhere, as the system relies on integrated graphics only. The 45% NTSC panel also limits suitability for colour-critical photo or design work.

10-core Intel Core 5 120U with DDR5 memory

The processor combines 2 performance cores reaching 5 GHz and 8 efficiency cores up to 3.8 GHz, backed by 16GB DDR5 system memory. This specific CPU and memory pairing determines whether the laptop meets your performance baseline for daily productivity. If your workload demands higher sustained multi-core speeds or discrete GPU acceleration, this specification will not satisfy it.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the Intel Core 5 120U is running at its 5 GHz maximum turbo after setup?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, choose CPU, and watch the clock speed while running a demanding single-thread task; it should reach 5 GHz on the two performance cores.

The bundle lists a stylus pen — does the box also include a power adapter or must I buy one separately?

The 65 W USB-C power adapter ships in the box; no separate purchase is required for charging via the USB-C ports that support USB PD 3.1.

Should I choose the 16 GB DDR5 / 1024 GB SSD configuration or look for a higher-capacity version?

This model is offered only with 16 GB DDR5 memory and a 1024 GB SSD; there are no larger RAM or storage variants listed for this SKU.
