ThinkBook 13s with 32GB RAM

The Lenovo ThinkBook 13s ships with 32GB of memory and a 256GB NVMe drive, ready for multitasking workloads. A quad-core Intel Core i7-8565U processor reaches 4.6 GHz for responsive performance. Linux Mint is pre-installed on the 13.0 inch FHD IPS panel. The aluminium chassis weighs 2.9 lbs for daily mobility.

Sustained workload on UHD 620 graphics

Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles desktop rendering and video playback without a discrete GPU. The 180-degree hinge lets the screen lay flat for shared viewing during long sessions. Thermal management is designed for the ultrabook form factor under continuous office loads. Battery life will vary with screen brightness and active applications.

Simple setup with Linux Mint out of the box

Linux Mint boots to a functional desktop without driver hunting for the Intel platform. The 256GB NVMe drive is the sole internal storage; buyers who want more storage must use external drives. The physical webcam cover and dTPM are active immediately. Non-touch display and Bluetooth 4.1 require no extra configuration.

Questions about this item

How much heat and fan noise should I expect from the i7-8565U running at 4.6 GHz all day?

The quad-core i7-8565U has a low thermal design power, so the aluminium chassis stays cool and the fan stays quiet even during sustained workloads.

Do I need to buy any docks, adapters or extra cables to use the USB Type-C port for video and data?

The USB Type-C port supports audio and video output natively, so a single compatible cable or hub is all you need for external displays and peripherals.

Will my older USB-A mice, keyboards and external drives work with the three USB ports on this laptop?

Yes, the three USB ports are standard USB-A connectors, so existing USB-A devices plug in directly without adapters.
