Compact All-in-One Desktop for Office Work

This Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny integrates a 22-inch FHD IPS display with an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8700 hexa-core processor, 32 GB DDR4 memory and a 1 TB SSD. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, a DVD-ROM drive, USB keyboard and mouse. The micro form factor suits space-constrained desks in business or home-office settings.

Limits of Integrated Graphics and Fixed Display

The system relies on Intel UHD Graphics built into the processor, so 3D rendering, video encoding or multi-monitor workloads beyond the built-in panel are constrained. The 22-inch screen is non-detachable; you cannot upgrade the panel or add an internal discrete GPU. Wireless connectivity is provided via a USB dongle rather than an integrated M.2 card.

Simple Setup with Few Upgrade Paths

Installation requires only a power cable and peripheral connections; the all-in-one chassis arrives assembled. Memory uses DDR4 UDIMM slots accessible after removing the rear cover, but the processor, storage and graphics are not user-replaceable. Buyers who need more storage bays, a second display output or a swappable CPU should consider a traditional tower instead.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 32 GB DDR4 memory or the 1 TB SSD capacity for my workload?

The system ships with both 32 GB DDR4 UDIMM and a 2.5" 1 TB SSD already installed, so no choice between them is required.

What does the i7-8700 up to 4.60 GHz turbo speed deliver in daily use?

The six-core, twelve-thread processor runs at a 3.20 GHz base and can boost to 4.60 GHz for short bursts, handling multi-tasking and office applications smoothly within its 65 W power envelope.

Does the USB Wi-Fi/BT dongle support 5 GHz networks and what throughput can I expect?

The included dongle is 5 GHz capable and connects via USB; actual wireless throughput will depend on router quality, channel congestion and distance from the access point.
