Compact All-in-One Desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny is a 24-inch Full HD IPS all-in-one desktop powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor reaching 4.10 GHz. It ships with 16 GB DDR4 memory, a 1 TB 3.5-inch hard drive, DVD-ROM drive, USB keyboard and mouse, and Windows 11 Pro pre-installed. This unit suits office workers and small-business users who want a complete, space-saving system ready for daily productivity tasks.

Build Integration

The micro form factor chassis integrates the computer behind the 24-inch display, eliminating a separate tower and reducing cable clutter on the desk. A USB Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dongle provides wireless connectivity without internal antenna installation. The system includes a DVD-ROM drive for legacy media access and uses standard 240-pin DDR4 DIMM slots for memory expansion up to 32 GB.

Thermals and Power

The 65 W processor runs at a 3.0 GHz base frequency with Intel UHD Graphics handling visual output. In typical office workloads the compact chassis manages heat quietly without aggressive fan noise. Power draw remains modest for an all-in-one design, and the included external power adapter keeps the desk footprint minimal during normal use.

Questions about this item

How does the 65 W processor TDP affect sustained performance?

The Intel Core i5-8500 is rated at 65 W, so the tiny chassis must dissipate that heat continuously; under long loads the CPU will throttle to stay within its thermal envelope.

What noise and heat levels should be expected during all-day operation?

A 65 W hexa-core chip in a micro form factor relies on a small internal fan, so expect audible airflow and warm exhaust after several hours of continuous use.

Which peripherals are required beyond the included keyboard and mouse?

The unit ships with a USB keyboard, USB mouse and a USB Wi-Fi/Bluetooth dongle, so only a power cable and network connection are needed to start working.
