Compact all-in-one for office work

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny combines a 24-inch FHD IPS display with an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8700 hexa-core processor running at up to 4.60 GHz. Eight gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB 2.5-inch SSD provide responsive everyday performance. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed alongside a USB keyboard and mouse. The micro form factor saves desk space while including a DVD-ROM drive.

Sustained workload behaviour

The 65 W processor maintains clocks under continuous load thanks to the tiny chassis thermal design. Intel UHD Graphics handles standard business applications and video playback without a discrete card. The included USB wireless dongle adds 5 GHz-capable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. DDR4 memory can be expanded up to 32 GB if heavier multitasking is required.

Upgrade path and limits

This unit replaces older tower desktops that lack an integrated display or solid-state storage. The jump is worthwhile for buyers who need a complete, space-saving workstation with a modern operating system. It does not suit users who require dedicated graphics performance, internal expansion slots, or a larger screen size.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 65 W i7-8700 produce when the Tiny runs all day?

The processor is rated at 65 W, so sustained load will generate a corresponding amount of heat inside the compact chassis.

Which display cable do I need to add a second monitor to the integrated Intel UHD Graphics?

The all-in-one includes its own 24" FHD IPS panel; check the rear I/O for HDMI or DisplayPort to connect an external display.

Will my existing DDR4 UDIMM modules fit the two 240-pin slots inside this M720q?

Yes, the board uses standard 240-pin DDR4 UDIMM slots supporting up to 32 GB total.
