Compact all-in-one desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny combines a 24-inch FHD IPS display with an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8700 hexa-core processor reaching 4.60 GHz. It ships with 8 GB DDR4 memory, a 512 GB M.2 SSD plus a 1 TB SSD, DVD-ROM drive and Windows 10 Pro. This unit suits office workers needing a space-saving, single-cable solution.

Included peripherals and connectivity

A USB keyboard and mouse are supplied in the box so the system is ready to use immediately. Wireless connectivity is provided through a USB dongle capable of 5 GHz operation alongside Bluetooth. The dual-drive layout separates the operating system on the M.2 drive from the larger 1 TB SSD for data.

Checks before ordering

The memory uses DDR4 UDIMM modules and the platform supports up to 32 GB if an upgrade is planned. The micro form factor case limits internal expansion so additional drive bays or full-size cards cannot be fitted. Verify that the 65 W processor and integrated Intel UHD Graphics meet the demands of your intended applications.

Questions about this item

Can the 8 GB DDR4 memory be upgraded to the 32 GB maximum supported by this model?

Yes, the system supports DDR4 memory up to 32 GB, so the installed 8 GB module can be replaced or supplemented with higher-capacity DDR4 DIMMs.

What thermal limit applies to the Intel Core i7-8700 when the all-in-one runs sustained workloads?

The i7-8700 has a 65 W TDP, and the compact all-in-one chassis will throttle the processor once its cooling capacity is reached during prolonged heavy use.

How loud is the fan and how much heat does the M720q Tiny produce when it runs all day?

The 65 W processor and integrated graphics generate moderate heat; the small form-factor fan spins up under load but remains quiet during typical office tasks.
