Compact all-in-one desktop for business users

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny combines an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8700 processor with a 22-inch FHD IPS display in a micro form factor. 32 GB DDR4 memory and dual storage of 256 GB M.2 SSD plus 1 TB hard drive support multitasking and local file retention. Windows 10 Pro, USB keyboard and mouse are included for immediate deployment.

65 W processor in a fan-cooled micro chassis

The hexa-core i7-8700 runs at a 65 W base power and boosts to 4.6 GHz under load. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles office applications without a discrete card. A USB 5 GHz-capable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dongle provides wireless connectivity while keeping the internal layout compact.

Single M.2 slot limits future storage expansion

The 256 GB M.2 drive occupies the only M.2 position; adding another M.2 SSD is not possible. The 1 TB hard drive offers bulk capacity but cannot match SSD speed. Buyers who want more high-speed storage should consider a different platform.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 32 GB DDR4 memory into the 240-pin DIMM slots?

Power off the Tiny, remove the chassis cover, align the notch on each DDR4 UDIMM with the 240-pin slot key, press firmly until the retention clips click, then replace the cover.

What storage components may need replacement after several years of use?

The 256 GB M.2 SSD and 1 TB hard drive have finite write cycles and mechanical wear respectively; plan to swap either drive when health monitoring tools report degradation.

Which thermal limit appears first when the Core i7-8700 runs at 4.6 GHz under sustained load?

The 65 W TDP ceiling is reached before the 4.6 GHz turbo can be maintained, so the processor throttles to stay within its power envelope.
