Compact business desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny is a micro-form-factor all-in-one PC built around an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor reaching 4.10 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 UDIMM memory, a 128 GB M.2 SSD for the operating system and a 1 TB hard drive for bulk storage. Windows 11 Pro, a 22-inch FHD IPS display, USB keyboard and mouse are included for immediate deployment.

Simple setup with integrated display

The all-in-one design eliminates separate monitor cabling and reduces desk clutter to a single power cord. Wireless connectivity is provided through a supplied USB dongle capable of 5 GHz operation. Internal expansion is limited by the Tiny chassis; the memory uses 240-pin DIMM slots supporting up to 32 GB total, while the M.2 and 2.5-inch drive bays are already occupied in this configuration.

Balanced storage and memory headroom

The 128 GB M.2 drive holds Windows 11 Pro and essential applications with modest free space remaining. The 1 TB hard drive comfortably accommodates large document libraries, local backups and media archives. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 handles typical office multitasking and light creative workloads; memory-intensive virtualisation or large dataset work will require an upgrade toward the 32 GB ceiling.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the i5-8500 reaches its 4.1 GHz turbo after setup?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, and watch the CPU frequency climb to 4.1 GHz while running a heavy single-thread load.

Which peripherals and drives are included versus what I must add?

The box contains the M720q Tiny, 22" FHD IPS monitor, USB keyboard, USB mouse, 128 GB M.2 SSD, 1 TB HDD, 16 GB DDR4, DVD-ROM, USB Wi-Fi/BT dongle, and Windows 11 Pro — no extra parts required.

Should I pick the 16 GB DDR4 / 128 GB M.2 + 1 TB HDD configuration or the 32 GB option?

Choose 16 GB for typical office multitasking; select 32 GB only if you run virtual machines or large datasets that exceed 16 GB.
