Tiny business desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q is a compact desktop built for office environments. It ships with Windows 11 Pro installed and activated. The 35 W Intel Core i5-8500T processor runs at 2.1 GHz across six cores. A 256 GB NVMe drive and 16 GB of DDR4 memory handle everyday workloads.

Suited for standard office tasks.

This system suits workers who need a small, quiet PC for documents, web apps and video calls. Buyers who want discrete graphics performance should look elsewhere. The unit has no wireless card, so a wired connection or separate adapter is required. Keyboard, mouse and monitor are not included.

35 W six-core processor defines the thermal envelope

The i5-8500T operates at a 35 W TDP with six cores and 9 MB of L3 cache. This power level fits the tiny chassis and its air-cooling solution. It determines whether the PC meets your performance-per-watt requirements. All other specifications scale from this processor choice.

Questions about this item

What does the USB 3.1 Gen 1 interface cap in practice?

The USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports run at up to 5 Gbps, so external SSDs and docks will hit that ceiling rather than the higher Gen 2 rate.

What does the Tiny chassis need to fit or mount?

The M720q Tiny fits VESA mounts and needs only the included AC adapter; no extra brackets or internal drive cages are required.

How is Windows 11 Pro installed, and what step do people miss?

Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed and activated; the step often missed is running the first-boot setup to accept the licence and join a network.
