Compact Business Desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny Desktop is a micro-form-factor PC built around an Intel Core i7-8700 hexa-core processor running at 3.20 GHz with a 4.60 GHz turbo ceiling. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 UDIMM memory and a dual-drive configuration comprising a 512 GB M.2 SSD plus a 1 TB SSD. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed and a USB keyboard and mouse are included.

Office and Home-Office Users

This system suits buyers who need a quiet, space-saving workstation for productivity applications, video calls and multi-monitor setups. It is not for buyers who want more storage than the two internal drives provide, or for builders who need a discrete graphics card or internal expansion slots that the tiny chassis cannot accommodate.

32 GB DDR4 Memory

The 32 GB DDR4 UDIMM capacity is the specification that determines whether this unit can handle heavy multitasking and large datasets without paging. The memory type is DDR4 and the form factor is DIMM 240-pin; no other generation or form factor is supported by this platform.

Questions about this item

What physical dimensions and mounting points does the M720q Tiny case require?

The Micro form-factor chassis fits VESA mounts and small desk spaces; it uses a 65 W processor so the included cooler clears the compact interior.

How do I install additional DDR4 memory and which step is often missed?

Open the case, align the 240-pin DDR4 UDIMM modules with the slots, press firmly until the retention clips click — many forget to seat both ends evenly.

Which storage drives may need replacement first and what type are they?

The 512 GB M.2 SSD and 1 TB 2.5-inch SSD have no moving parts; under typical workloads they last years before wear-leveling exhaustion.
