Compact SFF desktop for office work

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s is a small-form-factor desktop built around an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor running at up to 4.10 GHz. It ships with 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a dual-drive layout of 128 GB M.2 SSD plus 1 TB hard drive. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed for immediate business deployment.

Fits tight spaces and adds wireless

The SFF chassis sits on a desk or behind a monitor without demanding a full tower case. A USB wireless dongle provides 5 GHz-capable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth so no internal antenna cables or PCIe slots are required. Two front-panel USB ports and a DVD-ROM drive keep legacy media and peripherals within reach while the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 drives displays without a discrete card.

Ready-to-use peripherals included

A wired USB keyboard and mouse are bundled in the box so the system is operational the moment power is connected. The 128 GB M.2 drive holds the operating system for fast boot times while the 1 TB hard drive stores large archives. Memory can be expanded up to 32 GB of DDR4 when workloads grow beyond the factory 8 GB.

Questions about this item

Will the 65 W Intel Core i5-8500 throttle under sustained full-load work?

The processor has a 65 W TDP and a maximum turbo frequency of 4.1 GHz; sustained heavy workloads will be limited by the SFF chassis cooling capacity.

How loud and hot does the small-form-factor case get during all-day operation?

The 65 W CPU and integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 produce modest heat; the compact SFF enclosure uses a single system fan that remains relatively quiet under typical office loads.

Do I need to supply my own display to use this desktop?

Yes, the product facts state that no monitor is included, so you must provide a display with a compatible video input such as HDMI, DisplayPort or VGA.
