Compact SFF desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s is a small-form-factor business desktop powered by an 8th Generation Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor reaching 4.1 GHz. It ships with 8 GB of DDR4 memory, a 256 GB M.2 SSD for the operating system and a 1 TB hard drive for bulk storage. Windows 10 Pro comes pre-installed alongside a USB keyboard and mouse.

Office and home users needing dual storage

This configuration suits workers who want fast boot times from the M.2 SSD and high capacity from the 1 TB hard drive without adding drives themselves. Buyers who require more than 8 GB of memory or a discrete graphics card for demanding 3D workloads should consider a different system.

65-watt hexa-core processor

The Intel Core i5-8500 runs at a 65 W thermal design power with six cores and a 9 MB cache, boosting up to 4.1 GHz. This power envelope fits the compact SFF chassis and the included power supply, making the CPU the key specification for compatibility and thermal headroom.

Questions about this item

Does the M720s come with a keyboard and mouse, or must they be purchased separately?

Should I choose the 8 GB DDR4 configuration or plan to upgrade to the maximum 32 GB supported by this model?

The system ships with 8 GB DDR4 UDIMM installed; the board supports up to 32 GB, so you can add modules later if your workloads demand more memory.

How does the Intel UHD Graphics 630 perform for typical office tasks on the M720s?

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 handles standard business applications, multi-monitor setups and video playback smoothly; it is not designed for 3D rendering or gaming workloads.
