Compact desktop for office workloads

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M90s Gen 5 12V4000AUS is a slim-form-factor desktop built around an Intel Core i5-14500 processor with a 2.60 GHz base frequency and 5 GHz turbo. It ships with 32 GB of DDR5 memory and a 512 GB SSD, running Windows 11 Pro out of the box. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 770 handles display output without a discrete card.

Build integration and expandability

The chassis measures 13.4" high, 3.6" wide and 11.7" deep, fitting tight desk spaces or VESA mounts. A 310 W internal power supply powers the platform, while the Intel Q670 chipset provides the I/O backbone. Wireless connectivity uses IEEE 802.11ax and Bluetooth; wired Ethernet is also present. The slim profile limits add-in cards to low-profile brackets and restricts internal drive bays.

Included accessories and software impact

A DVD-Writer handles legacy optical media for installs or archives. An English keyboard is bundled for immediate setup. Windows 11 Pro enables BitLocker, Remote Desktop and domain join for managed environments. Intel vPro Technology supports hardware-based remote management and security features used by IT departments.

Questions about this item

Will the i5-14500 hold its 5 GHz turbo when all 14 cores are loaded for hours?

The 310 W power supply is sized for the factory configuration, and the i5-14500 is rated to reach 5 GHz on thermal headroom that the slim chassis is built to manage.

How loud does the fan get and what temperature does the case reach during an all-day compile?

The small form factor uses a single system fan that spins up only when the CPU or GPU temperature rises, staying near idle noise for typical office workloads and becoming audible but not intrusive under sustained heavy loads.

What display cable and monitor port do I need to have ready before this PC arrives?

The Intel UHD Graphics 770 provides DisplayPort and HDMI outputs, so have a monitor with either input and the matching cable — no adapter is included.
