Compact desktop for everyday productivity

The Lenovo ThinkCentre Mini is a new small-form-factor PC powered by an Intel Core i5-6500T processor with a maximum speed of 3.10 GHz. It comes with 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 512GB NVMe solid-state drive. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and a wireless keyboard and mouse are included in the box.

Suited for office work and home admin.

This system handles web browsing, document editing, email and video calls without difficulty. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 530 drives two DisplayPort monitors for a dual-screen setup. Buyers who need a dedicated graphics card for 3D rendering, modern gaming or GPU-accelerated workloads should look at a different class of machine.

512GB NVMe drive sets the storage baseline

The single 512GB NVMe solid-state drive provides the operating system, applications and user data capacity. If your workflow demands more local storage than 512GB, you will need to add an external drive or choose a system with a larger internal SSD.

Questions about this item

Which USB standard do the front and rear ports use, and what transfer speed does that cap at?

Both front and rear ports are USB 3.0, limiting transfers to the 5 Gbps ceiling of that standard.

What physical mounting option does the Mini chassis include for saving desk space?

The chassis has VESA mounting holes so it can be attached directly to the back of a compatible monitor or stand.

How is the Windows 11 Pro licence activated on this unit, and what step is often missed?

Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and activates automatically on first internet connection; skipping the initial network setup will leave it unactivated.
