Thinkpad L14 Gen 2 business laptop

This 14.0 inch laptop runs Linux Mint 20 Cinnamon out of the box. It uses an Intel Core i7 11th Gen processor with 4 cores and 16GB DDR4 memory. The 500GB PCIe SSD provides fast storage for office workloads. Integrated Iris Xe graphics handle everyday visual tasks.

Installation notes and common issues

The operating system is pre-installed so no drive imaging is required. Secure Boot may need disabling in the BIOS if you plan to dual-boot later. Thunderbolt 4 ports support docking stations but some older Type-C hubs only negotiate USB 3.2 speeds. Driver updates arrive through the standard Mint repositories.

Pre-purchase checklist

Confirm your workflow runs on Linux Mint 20 Cinnamon before ordering. The 16GB memory is soldered and cannot be upgraded after purchase. The single 500GB PCIe SSD slot limits future storage expansion. Verify that your external monitors work over HDMI or Thunderbolt 4 Type-C.
