Mobile workstation with 16.0 WQUXGA display

The Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 4 is a 15.6 inch mobile workstation built around an 11th Generation Intel Core i7-11850H vPro processor with 16GB of 3200 memory. It ships with Windows 11 Pro 64 preinstalled and includes a downgrade option to Windows 10 Pro 64. A 1TB G4 Perf drive and NVIDIA T1200 4GB graphics handle demanding professional workloads.

Suits professionals needing vPro security

This configuration suits buyers who require Intel vPro manageability, a colour-accurate 16.0 WQUXGA panel and certified drivers for CAD or DCC applications. Buyers who want more storage capacity or a higher-tier GPU for intensive rendering should look at alternative configurations. The 3.0000 kg weight may not suit users prioritising ultra-portability.

16.0 WQUXGA monitor

The 16.0 WQUXGA monitor provides the high pixel density required for detailed design work and multi-window workflows. It is the specification that determines whether this chassis meets visual fidelity requirements for professional content creation. If a lower resolution suffices, other models in the range may offer a lighter or cooler-running alternative.

Questions about this item

How is the 1TB G4 Perf drive installed, and what step is often missed?

The drive ships pre-installed in the M.2 slot; the step users miss is verifying the OS recognises the full capacity before restoring data.

What maintenance will the NVIDIA T1200 4GB graphics need later?

Keep the GPU heatsink and vents clear of dust; repaste only if temperatures rise above normal under sustained load.

What limit appears first during sustained heavy workloads?

Thermal throttling on the Core i7-11850H vPro processor typically activates before power or memory limits are reached.
