Business laptop with 16 GB DDR4

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 2 is a 14.0 inch business laptop running Windows 11 Pro. It uses an Intel Core i5-1145G7 quad-core processor with a 4.40 GHz turbo frequency and 8 MB cache. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 non-touch display. The system ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 2 TB NVMe PCIe SSD.

16 GB soldered memory and 2 TB NVMe headroom

Memory is soldered with no additional slots, so the 16 GB configuration is fixed for the life of the device. The platform supports up to 40 GB in total, but expansion is not possible on this unit. The 2 TB NVMe drive provides substantial capacity for large project files and local datasets. Storage upgrades would require replacing the single PCIe SSD.

Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI 2.0 connectivity

Two USB 3.2 Type-C ports deliver Thunderbolt 4 for high-speed peripherals and external displays. Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports include one always-on charging port. A full-size HDMI 2.0 output and RJ-45 Ethernet add desk-dock flexibility. Wireless uses Wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. The 720p webcam and combo audio jack complete the meeting-ready kit.

Questions about this item

Will my existing DDR4 SODIMM modules work alongside the soldered memory in this T14 Gen 2?

The laptop has 16 GB of soldered DDR4 and zero user-accessible slots, so you cannot add or swap modules; the maximum supported is 40 GB but only the factory-fitted memory is usable.

How can I verify the Thunderbolt 4 ports and Intel Iris Xe graphics are active after installing Windows 11 Pro?

Open Device Manager and confirm two Thunderbolt controllers and an Iris Xe adapter appear without errors; the ports will also show 40 Gb/s capability in the Thunderbolt Control Center.

Does the box contain a USB-C dock or only the AC adapter and laptop?

The shipment includes the laptop and an OEM wattage-appropriate AC adapter; no dock, video cable or additional peripherals are supplied.
