Upgrade from Older Dual-Core or HDD Systems

Moving from a dual-core notebook or a mechanical hard drive to this quad-core 1.8 GHz CPU with 4.40 GHz turbo and solid-state storage yields a clear responsiveness jump. The 6 MB L3 cache and 2666 MHz memory speed help sustained workloads. The gain is worth it when your current machine stutters on multitasking or large file loads.

Check Ports, Memory Slots and Docking Needs

Verify that the single available memory slot and onboard 8 GB configuration meet your upgrade path before ordering. Confirm the mix of USB-C 3.2 Gen 1, one Thunderbolt 3 port, HDMI 1.4b and RJ-45 Ethernet matches your peripherals. Ensure the optional microSD, smart card or WWAN slots are present if your workflow depends on them.
