Built for mobile professionals

The Lenovo ThinkPad T15 Gen 1 is a 15.6 inch touchscreen laptop powered by a 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10510U quad-core processor. It runs at a base frequency of 1.8 GHz and can reach 4.40 GHz turbo. The system includes 8 GB of DDR4 2666 memory and a 256 GB SSD. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Thermals and power in daily use

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics shares system memory and handles standard office workloads without a discrete GPU. The 15.6 inch FHD IPS panel operates at 1920 x 1080 resolution. Under typical productivity tasks the chassis remains comfortable to touch and fan noise stays low. Power is supplied by the included OEM AC adapter.

Bundled items and expandability

The package provides the OEM AC adapter and a Windows 11 Pro licence. Connectivity covers one Thunderbolt 3 port, three USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 ports, HDMI 1.4b, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth. One memory slot is free for expansion up to 48 GB total. Buyers who need a discrete graphics card or more than two storage drives should consider other form factors.

Questions about this item

How do I add more RAM to the single DDR4 2666 slot, and what is the mistake to avoid?

Open the bottom case, insert a DDR4 2666 module into the one free SO-DIMM slot, and do not exceed the 48 GB total limit — the 8 GB soldered on the board cannot be removed.

Which storage part will need replacement first and what fits?

The 256 GB M.2 2242 SSD is the only drive bay; swap it for a larger M.2 2242 unit when capacity runs out.

What thermal limit appears first during a long compile on the i7-10510U?

The 15 W quad-core CPU hits its 4.40 GHz turbo briefly, then sustains lower clocks once the cooling solution saturates.
