ThinkPad T15 Gen 2 business laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad T15 Gen 2 is a 15.6-inch business laptop built for professionals who need reliable performance in office or remote settings. It ships new with Windows 10 Pro and an Intel Core i7-1185G7 processor paired with 16 GB of soldered DDR4 memory. The 512 GB PCIe SSD provides fast storage for documents and applications.

Soldered memory and integrated graphics limit

Because the 16 GB DDR4 3200 memory is soldered to the board, you cannot add or replace RAM modules after purchase. The Intel UHD Graphics engine handles everyday productivity and video playback but is not suited for intensive 3D work or modern gaming. Installation is straightforward since the unit arrives fully assembled, though the lack of memory slots means future capacity increases are impossible.

512 GB SSD and quad-core CPU handle typical

The 512 GB solid-state drive offers enough space for operating system files, business software and a moderate local file library without relying on external drives. The four-core i7-1185G7 running at 3.00 GHz delivers solid throughput for multitasking, web-based apps and light content creation. Heavy video editing, large dataset analysis or GPU-accelerated tasks will exceed the integrated graphics and fixed memory ceiling.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 15.6" FHD touch panel is operating at the specified 300 nits after setup?

Use the built-in display calibration tool in Windows 10 to verify brightness reaches the rated 300 nits level and check that the touchscreen responds across the full 1920 x 1080 IPS surface.

What components come installed in the 20W4002MUS and which upgrades require separate purchase?

The unit ships with a soldered 16 GB DDR4 3200 memory module, a 512 GB PCIe SSD, Intel UHD Graphics, Wi-Fi 6E AX210 wireless, fingerprint reader and Windows 10 Pro pre-installed; no additional parts are included.

Which configuration should I choose if I need the highest graphics performance available for this model?

Select the version equipped with the optional NVIDIA GeForce MX450 discrete GPU instead of the standard Intel UHD integrated graphics for stronger rendering capability.
