Mobile workstation with UHD display

The ThinkPad T15p G3 combines an Intel Core i7-12700H processor with 14 cores and 20 threads, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics with 4GB GDDR6, 32GB DDR5-4800 memory and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. Included hardware and software

The 1TB M.2 2280 NVMe drive supports Opal 2.0 hardware encryption for data protection. Dolby Vision enhances HDR content playback on the calibrated display. Dual 16GB SO-DIMM modules populate both memory slots at 4800 MT/s. The RTX 3050 GPU provides dedicated graphics acceleration for creative applications. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and ready for domain join.

Compatibility checklist

Verify that 4.91 kg fits your mobility requirements and carrying equipment. Confirm that the 15.6-inch form factor suits your workspace and docking setup. The 32GB DDR5-4800 configuration uses both SO-DIMM slots, leaving no empty socket for future expansion. Ensure your workflow benefits from 100% Adobe RGB colour accuracy and 600-nit brightness before committing to the UHD panel.

Questions about this item

Will the DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM modules need replacing for more capacity later?

Two 16 GB DDR5-4800 SO-DIMMs are installed; both slots are occupied, so adding capacity means replacing the existing modules.

Which limit appears first when the i7-12700H runs sustained loads?

The 14-core CPU can reach 4.7 GHz on P-cores, so thermal headroom in the chassis becomes the limiting factor before power delivery.

How loud and hot does the RTX 3050 4 GB GDDR6 get during all-day rendering?

The discrete GPU shares the dual-fan cooling with the CPU; under continuous load the system stays within its thermal envelope while fan noise remains at typical workstation levels.
