Questions about this item

Does the ThinkPad T460 need an external power adapter to run, or can I use it on battery alone?

It ships with a charger and an internal battery so it runs on mains power or on battery without any extra accessory.

Will the Intel HD Graphics 520 and the single HDMI plus Mini DisplayPort outputs drive my older 1080p monitors without adapters?

Yes, the integrated graphics 520 supports 1920 x 1080 over both the HDMI and Mini DisplayPort connections for legacy displays.

After first boot, how can I confirm the 16 GB DDR3 and 256 GB SSD are recognised by Windows 10 Home?

Open Settings > System > About to see 16 GB installed RAM, then open File Explorer to verify the 256 GB SSD appears as the C: drive.
