Ready-to-deploy business laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad T470 arrives with a 14.0-inch FHD display driven by an Intel Core i7-7600U processor at 2.80 GHz, 16GB DDR4 memory and a new 500GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. It ships without an operating system so IT teams can install their standard corporate image immediately. Dual-core performance reaches 3.90 GHz turbo for office workloads and light content tasks.

Storage and memory headroom included

The factory-fitted 500GB NVMe drive eliminates the first upgrade step and the two DDR4 slots support up to 32GB total, allowing a simple memory expansion later. Intel HD Graphics 620 handles the 1920 x 1080 panel and external monitors without a discrete GPU. Bluetooth and an integrated webcam are present for conferencing out of the box.

Verify OS licensing and peripheral needs

Confirm your organisation holds valid licences for the Windows version or Linux distribution you plan to install, as none is supplied. Check that existing docks, power adapters and security accessories match the T470 connector layout before ordering. The 365-day parts-and-labour warranty covers hardware defects only.

Questions about this item

Can the 500GB M.2 NVMe SSD be replaced with a larger drive later?

Yes, the laptop uses an M.2 NVMe PCIe slot, so you can swap the 500GB SSD for a higher-capacity NVMe drive when you need more storage.

What limits performance first when the i7-7600U runs at its 3.90 GHz turbo for long periods?

The dual-core processor will hit its thermal ceiling before the 16GB DDR4 memory or the Intel HD Graphics 620 become bottlenecks under sustained heavy loads.

How loud and hot does the T470 get when the Intel HD Graphics 620 drives the 1920 x 1080 FHD panel all day?

The integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 runs cool and silent during typical office work, so fan noise and surface temperatures stay low even after hours of continuous use.
