Lenovo ThinkPad T480 14 laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad T480 is a 14.0-inch laptop with an HD display running at 1366 x 768 resolution. It uses an Intel Core i5-8250U quad-core processor with a base frequency of 1.60 GHz and a turbo frequency of 3.40 GHz. The system includes 32GB of DDR4 memory and a new 1TB 2.5-inch SATA SSD. No operating system is installed.

Suits buyers needing maximum factory memory

This unit suits users who want 32GB of RAM and a new 1TB SSD without upgrading themselves. It is not for buyers who need a touchscreen, a higher resolution panel, or a discrete graphics card. It also does not suit anyone who requires an operating system pre-installed or a storage interface other than SATA.

Fits a build as a ready-to-deploy mobile workstation

The laptop provides two memory slots, both populated to reach the 32GB maximum supported capacity. The 2.5-inch SATA drive bay holds the included SSD, leaving no internal drive slot free for a second drive. Buyers must supply their own operating system licence and installation media to complete the setup.

Questions about this item

Do I need to supply my own operating system for the ThinkPad T480?

Yes, this laptop ships with no operating system installed so you must provide and install Windows or another OS yourself.

Can I keep using my existing 2.5-inch SATA drives with the 1TB SSD already fitted?

The 1TB SSD occupies the single 2.5-inch SATA bay, so additional 2.5-inch drives cannot be added internally without removing the existing SSD.

How can I verify the Intel UHD Graphics 620 is active after I install the OS?

Open Device Manager in Windows and confirm Intel UHD Graphics 620 appears under Display adapters with no error icon.
