Lenovo ThinkPad T480s 14 inch FHD laptop

This business-class laptop runs Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core i5-8250U processor with a base speed of 1.60 GHz and a maximum turbo frequency of 3.40 GHz. It includes 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 512 GB PCIe NVMe solid-state drive for storage. The 14.0 inch IPS panel delivers a 1920 x 1080 resolution on a matte finish.

Suits mobile professionals needing a tested chassis

The unit weighs between 2 and 2.9 lbs and has passed 21 MIL-SPEC tests for durability in harsh environments. A match-on-chip fingerprint reader and a physical webcam shutter provide hardware-based security features. Integrated Intel UHD 620 graphics limit this device to general productivity rather than heavy creative or gaming workloads. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance or a touchscreen should look at something else.

Thunderbolt 3 over USB-C at 40 Gbps

A single USB-C port supports Thunderbolt 3 technology, providing data transfer rates up to 40 Gbps, dual video bandwidth and power delivery through one cable. The laptop also offers four USB ports in total and Bluetooth 4.1 for wireless peripherals. This connectivity mix decides whether the machine fits a dock-centric workflow or requires legacy adapters.
