Ready-to-work ThinkPad T480s

This 14-inch business laptop ships new with Windows 7 Professional, an Intel Core i5-8250U processor running at 1.60 GHz with a 3.40 GHz turbo, 24 GB of DDR4 memory and a 2 TB SATA solid-state drive. The matte IPS panel shows 1920 x 1080 resolution and the chassis weighs between 2 and 2.9 lbs.

Suits mobile professionals who need legacy OS

The fingerprint reader, ThinkShutter webcam cover and 21 MIL-SPEC tests address security and durability for travelling workers. Buyers who require a touchscreen or a modern Windows release should look elsewhere because the display is non-touch and the licence is for Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.

Single-drive 2 TB SATA storage decides fit

The laptop provides one 2 TB SATA SSD with no second drive bay mentioned, so capacity cannot be expanded internally. Thunderbolt 3 over USB-C at 40 Gbps allows fast external storage, but the internal limit is fixed at the factory-fitted 2 TB.
