Business-ready 14-inch laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad T490 is a new 14-inch notebook with a 1920 x 1080 IPS display, Intel Core i5-8265U processor reaching 3.9 GHz, 16 GB DDR4 memory and a 256 GB NVMe SSD. It ships with Windows 10 Pro and includes a fingerprint reader, HDMI, Thunderbolt and a 720p webcam for professional use.

Simple deployment and upgrade access

The chassis allows straightforward access to the single NVMe slot and memory for future expansion without special tools. Installation of the operating system is completed before delivery, so the unit is ready to use immediately. Buyers who want a second internal drive bay or user-replaceable battery cannot be accommodated by this design.

Steady output during long sessions

The quad-core processor maintains its 1.6 GHz base frequency under continuous workloads, with the cooling system managing heat across extended periods. The 250 cd/m² panel and 700:1 contrast remain consistent at 170° viewing angles. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles typical business graphics without thermal throttling during sustained use.
