A 14.0 inch FHD IPS touchscreen running at 1920 x 1080 supports direct input for annotations or presentations. Quad-core Intel Core i5-8250U at 1.6 GHz with 16 GB DDR4 handles typical business workloads out of the box.

Connectivity kit replaces dongles

Three USB 3.1 ports, one USB-C port, HDMI and RJ-45 Ethernet are built in so external displays, wired networks and peripherals connect without adapters. Intel Dual Band Wireless with Bluetooth 4.1 covers wireless needs. An optional fingerprint reader and SD or MicroSD slot may be present depending on the exact unit shipped.

128 GB SSD suits light local storage

The 128 GB solid-state drive holds the operating system, core applications and a modest working set of documents. Heavy media libraries, large CAD datasets or multiple virtual machines will exceed the available space quickly. Buyers who need more internal capacity should plan for external storage or a larger drive configuration.

Questions about this item

Can the 128 GB SSD be upgraded to a larger SATA or NVME drive later?

The unit uses an M.2 slot that accepts SATA or NVME SSDs up to 1 TB, so the 128 GB drive can be replaced with a larger one.

What limits performance first when the Intel Core i5-8250U runs at full load for a long time?

The 15 W TDP of the quad-core processor causes thermal throttling once the cooling system reaches its capacity during sustained workloads.

How loud does the fan get and how hot does the chassis feel during an all-day workload?

Under continuous load the fan spins up to an audible level and the bottom surface near the hinge becomes noticeably warm.
