Core hardware and target user

The Lenovo ThinkPad T570 is a 15.6-inch laptop built around a 7th Generation Intel Core i5-7300U dual-core processor running at 2.60 GHz with a 3.50 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 8 GB of DDR4 memory in a 4 GB x 2 configuration and a 128 GB solid-state drive. The 1920 x 1080 IPS display is non-touch. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 handles visual output. It arrives with a fresh Windows 10 Pro installation.

Ports, expansion and build constraints

Connectivity includes two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A port with always-on charging, and one USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 port that supports Thunderbolt 3, DisplayPort Alternate Mode and Power Delivery 2.0. The USB-C connection enables docking, external displays and charging through a single cable. The chassis omits an optical drive, saving internal space and weight. Military-grade testing and over 200 quality checks verify durability for daily transport.

Software readiness and included peripherals

Windows 10 Pro is installed without manufacturer bloatware, so the system is ready for domain join, encryption and remote management immediately. A front-facing webcam supports video conferencing out of the box. Intel Dual Band Wireless with Bluetooth provides cable-free network and peripheral connectivity. The 128 GB SSD delivers faster boot, file opening and transfer speeds than a mechanical drive, though capacity may require external storage for large media libraries.

Questions about this item

How long can the i5-7300U sustain its 3.50 GHz turbo before thermal limits lower the clock?

The processor is rated for a 2.60 GHz base frequency with a 3.50 GHz maximum turbo; sustained turbo duration depends on the laptop cooling solution and workload.

What are the typical fan noise and surface temperatures when the T570 runs a full-day workload?

The 15.6 inch chassis uses integrated Intel HD 620 graphics and a dual-core CPU, so heat output stays moderate; fan noise is generally low during office tasks and rises under continuous heavy load.

Which cables or peripherals must I already own to use the USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 port for video and charging?

The USB-C port supports Thunderbolt, DisplayPort Alt Mode and Power Delivery 2.0, so a Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C cable with DisplayPort and PD support is required for external monitors and charging.
