Business laptop with Intel Core i5-8265U

The ThinkPad T590 is a 15.6-inch notebook powered by a quad-core Intel Core i5-8265U processor with a maximum turbo frequency of 3.90 GHz. It ships with 8 GB of DDR4 2400 memory and a 256 GB PCIe solid-state drive. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed for immediate deployment in professional environments.

Anti-glare IPS display and security hardware

The non-touch screen uses an IPS panel rated at 250 nits with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and an anti-glare coating for comfortable viewing in bright offices. A match-on-chip fingerprint reader and a discrete TPM 2.0 module provide hardware-level authentication and encryption support. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics shares system memory for everyday visual tasks.

Upgrade from older 15-inch business notebooks

This model replaces legacy 15-inch systems that lack solid-state storage, modern processor architecture or discrete TPM 2.0 security. The jump is worthwhile when moving from mechanical drives or dual-core CPUs to a quad-core design with PCIe storage and Windows 10 Pro. Buyers who need dedicated graphics, a touchscreen or more than 8 GB of memory should consider other configurations.
