Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 5 Intel Core i7-7500U

This new 14.0" ultrabook combines an Intel Core i7-7500U processor reaching 3.5 GHz with a 2TB NVMe PCIe SSD and 8GB of memory. It targets professionals who need a lightweight Windows 7 Professional machine with a 2560 x 1440 WQHD IPS display and integrated fingerprint reader.

Before ordering verify your software compatibility

The system ships with Windows 7 Professional, an operating system that no longer receives security updates from Microsoft. Confirm that your essential applications and peripheral drivers support this legacy platform before deployment. The 8GB memory is soldered and cannot be upgraded after purchase.

Thermals noise and power in daily use

The carbon-fiber reinforced chassis and magnesium alloy roll-cage dissipate heat from the low-power U-series processor during typical office workloads. Fan activity remains subdued for standard productivity tasks. Thunderbolt 3 over USB-C enables charging and data at up to 40 Gbps while keeping the external power adapter compact.
