ThinkPad X1 Carbon 5 with 512 GB NVMe

This ultrabook combines a carbon-fibre reinforced chassis with an Intel Core i7-7500U processor reaching 3.5 GHz, 512 GB NVMe storage and 8 GB of memory. It ships with Windows 10 Pro and weighs 2.49 lbs, making it suited for professionals who need a durable yet portable workstation.

Thunderbolt 3 at 40 Gbps via USB-C

The USB-C port carries Thunderbolt 3 for data, video and charging at up to 40 Gbps, providing four times the bandwidth of earlier USB standards. Actual throughput depends on the connected device, cable quality and any dock or adapter in the chain, so full speed is not guaranteed in every scenario.

Verify your peripherals and display needs

Buyers who require a touchscreen, additional USB-A ports beyond the four provided or a different operating system should confirm compatibility before ordering. The 14.0 inch WQHD panel runs at 2560 x 1440, so external monitors must support that resolution for native output.
