Business ultrabook for mobile professionals

The Lenovo ThinkPad X240 is a 12.5-inch Windows 8.1 Pro laptop built around an Intel Core i7-4600U processor with 8GB of DDR3 memory. Its 1920 x 1080 touch display and 500GB hard drive suit executives and field staff who need a responsive, portable system for daily office tasks and video calls.

MIL-SPEC tested chassis with carbon-fibre roll cage

The chassis passes eight durability parameters including high pressure, humidity, vibration, temperature shock, low pressure at 15000 ft, and dust. A carbon-fibre roll cage with reinforcement throughout keeps the unit rigid while staying ultralight. Two USB ports and a single headphone/microphone combo jack cover essential wired peripherals, while Bluetooth 4.0 handles wireless accessories.

Spill-resistant backlit keyboard and touch display

The six-row island-style keyboard resists spills and adds backlighting for low-light work. The 12.5-inch FHD IPS touchscreen supports direct interaction with Windows 8.1 Pro. Buyers who want more storage or faster boot times will find no SSD installed. Users needing additional USB connections or a dedicated video output must add a dock or hub.
