ThinkStation P2 Gen 2 Tower Workstation

This Lenovo ThinkStation P2 Gen 2 Tower is a new Windows 11 Pro desktop built for professional workloads. It pairs an Intel Core Ultra 7 265 processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card. The system includes 64 GB of DDR5 memory and a 1 TB SSD. A 500 W 92% efficiency power supply delivers power to the components.

Suits AI-ready workflows; not for multi-GPU builds

The workstation targets users who need CPU and GPU compute in a single tower for rendering, simulation or AI inference. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 handle modern wireless peripherals. Front USB-C at 20 Gbps and dual DisplayPort 1.4 outputs support fast accessories and multiple displays. Buyers who need a second graphics card or more than 64 GB of memory should look at a different platform.

64 GB DDR5 in four 16 GB modules

Memory is populated as 4 x 16 GB DDR5, filling the available slots at the advertised capacity. The processor runs E-cores up to 4.60 GHz and P-cores up to 5.20 GHz. Storage consists of 2 x 512 GB SSDs configured for 1 TB total. This configuration decides whether the system matches the workload without further upgrades.

Questions about this item

What does the RTX 5060 graphics card deliver in a real workstation?

The RTX 5060 provides dedicated GPU acceleration for rendering, simulation and AI workloads, with support for modern APIs and multi-display output via HDMI 2.1 TMDS and two DisplayPort 1.4 connectors.

How do the front USB-C and rear USB-A ports differ in practical speed limits?

The front USB-C runs at USB 20Gbps, while the rear offers two USB-A at USB 10Gbps and two at USB 5Gbps; actual throughput depends on the connected device and cable quality.

What physical space and weight should I plan for this tower?

The chassis measures 14.80" x 6.70" x 12.40" and weighs 12.87 lb, so allow clearance for the 500W power supply and front-panel port access.
