Product identity

This Lenovo V7000 cable is a 25 metre OM3 multi-mode fibre optic patch lead terminated with LC male connectors on both ends. It is built for short-range links between storage arrays, switches or servers inside a rack or row.

Target fit and limits

The assembly suits installers who need a factory-terminated 25 metre OM3 run for the Storwize V7000 or similar network and storage devices. It will not help teams that require single-mode fibre, longer distances, different connector styles such as SC or MTP, or pre-terminated trunk cables with higher fibre counts.

Deciding specification

The critical detail is the 82.02 ft OM3 multi-mode length with LC male ends; if the link budget or physical route demands a different reach, fibre mode or connector type, this part will not match the installation.

Questions about this item

Will the 25m OM3 multi-mode cable work with my existing LC transceivers and patch panels?

Yes. The cable uses standard LC male connectors on both ends, so it plugs directly into any LC transceiver or patch panel that accepts multi-mode fibre.

How can I verify the link is healthy after I connect the V7000 25m OM3 cable?

Check the port LEDs on your switch or storage array — solid green means light is passing — and run an optical power meter or the host's link diagnostics to confirm loss is within OM3 limits.

Does the Lenovo V7000 25m OM3 cable ship with dust caps or cleaning tools?

The cable arrives with protective dust caps on both LC male connectors; cleaning wipes, inspection scopes or additional caps are sold separately.
