LeTaoXing 12V 7A Power Adapter
This 72 watt desktop adapter converts AC 100-240V input to a regulated DC 12V output at up to 7A. It terminates in a locking 5.5mm x 2.5mm barrel plug with centre-positive polarity. The unit ships with a detachable IEC C7 mains lead and a 110 cm low-loss DC cable made from tinned copper conductors.
Suits 12V gear drawing up to 7A
Ideal for 5050 or 3528 LED strips, CCTV cameras, LCD monitors, routers and similar loads that stay below the 84 watt maximum. Not suitable for devices requiring more than 7A continuous current, a different output voltage, or a connector other than the 5.5mm x 2.5mm barrel.
Deciding spec: 5.5mm x 2.5mm barrel plug
The centre-positive 5.5mm x 2.5mm DC jack is the single fitment detail that determines compatibility. Verify the device socket matches this exact diameter and polarity before purchase, as the connector is not interchangeable with 5.5mm x 2.1mm or other barrel sizes.

Questions about this item
How do I confirm the adapter is delivering 12 V DC at 7 A after connecting it?
Use a multimeter on the barrel plug; you should read approximately 12 V DC with the inner pin positive and the outer sleeve negative, and the unit will power devices drawing up to 7 A without shutting down.
What cables and connectors are included, and is an AC cord supplied?
The box contains one 12 V 7 A power adapter with a 110 cm DC cable ending in a 5.5 × 2.5 mm barrel plug (compatible with 5.5 × 2.1 mm jacks) and one US-type AC power cord also 3.6 ft long.
Should I choose this 7 A model or a lower-amperage version for my 5050 LED strip that draws 5 A?
This 7 A unit is ideal because it supplies up to 84 W and amperage is not forced, so it safely runs any 12 V load under 7 A including 5 A strips, 3528 strips, CCTV cameras or LCD monitors.
