Wireless HDMI Extender Kit

The LG CHD10 transmits 1080p video and audio up to 165 feet using dual-band 2.4 and 5.8 GHz wireless links. Automatic pairing removes the need for configuration software or app installation. The transmitter and receiver draw power from the host devices through HDMI and USB-C connections. It decodes 4K source material while outputting at 1920x1080 resolution.

Installers avoiding cable runs

The kit suits conference rooms, digital-signage screens or home displays where running HDMI through walls or ceilings is impractical. Latency is low enough for presentations and casual streaming but not for competitive gaming or applications that demand frame-perfect response. Obstructions such as walls can reduce the effective range to 50 feet. Buyers needing uncompressed 4K output or zero-latency passthrough should consider a wired solution.

1080p wireless output ceiling

The single specification that decides fit is the maximum output resolution of 1080p regardless of the source. If the project requires native 4K display or HDR passthrough to a 4K panel, this extender will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

What HDMI port does the CHD10 need to connect to a display?

The CHD10 has one HDMI input that connects to the source device, while the receiver connects to the display's HDMI port for 1920x1080 output.

How do I pair the transmitter and receiver, and what step is often missed?

The kit auto-pairs on power-up; the step often missed is ensuring both units are powered via their USB cables before expecting a link.

Will the CHD10's wireless range change after extended use?

The 5.8 GHz and 2.4 GHz dual-band chip maintains up to 165 ft line-of-sight or 50 ft through walls; range does not degrade with normal ageing.
