LG 20x IDE DVD Writer

The LG GSA-H55N is an internal 5.25-inch half-height DVD writer that burns DVD±R at 20x and CD-R at 48x. It supports double-layer media and all common DVD and CD formats for data backup or disc authoring.

Check IDE port and bay space

Verify that your motherboard has a free IDE connector and that the chassis offers a 5.25-inch half-height drive bay. The unit measures 1.6 by 5.7 by 6.5 inches and weighs 1.76 lb, so confirm clearance before ordering.

Thermals noise and power

As an optical drive it draws power only during read or write operations and runs silently when idle. No active cooling is required and typical system airflow is sufficient for normal use.
