65-inch 4K MiniLED Smart TV

The 65QNED85AUA is a 65-inch 4K MiniLED television built for viewers who want bright, colour-accurate pictures in a living-room setting. It runs LG's webOS platform with direct access to major streaming services and uses an Alpha 8 AI Processor Gen2 to adjust picture and sound automatically. Buyers who need a smaller screen or a different panel technology will not find those options in this model.

Brightness control and motion handling

MiniLED backlighting with Dimming Pro manages individual dimming zones to deepen black levels and raise peak brightness without a measurable change in audible noise or power draw during typical viewing. The native 120 Hz refresh rate keeps fast sports and gaming motion sharp at the panel's maximum 3840 x 2160 resolution.

AI processing and cinematic formats

The Alpha 8 AI Processor Gen2 analyses content in real time to optimise colour, contrast and audio balance for each scene. Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and Filmmaker Mode preserve the director's original colour grading, frame rate and spatial audio mix without manual setup. No additional calibration hardware or software licences are included.

Questions about this item

How do I wall-mount the 65" MiniLED TV and which step is often missed?

Use a VESA-compatible mount rated for the TV's weight, secure it to studs, and remember to leave clearance for the MiniLED backlight vents so heat can escape.

What part of the 65QNED85AUA will need attention after extended use?

The MiniLED backlight and Alpha 8 AI Processor Gen2 are solid-state, so only periodic dusting of the vents and a firmware update via webOS are required.

What limit appears first during long 120 Hz gaming sessions on this MiniLED panel?

Sustained high brightness can trigger the Dimming Pro thermal protection, which temporarily reduces peak output to protect the MiniLED array.
