Four-channel HDMI video switcher

The Lilliput AVMATRIX HVS0402U is a 4-channel HDMI multi-format video switcher built in a compact metal case. It is designed for live streaming and presentation workflows that require switching between multiple HDMI sources. The unit provides one HDMI program output, one HDMI multiview output and a USB-C output for direct connection to a PC. It targets producers who need professional switching functions in a small footprint.

Switching effects and media features

The switcher includes video switching, audio mixing, transition effects, luma and chroma keying, downstream keying, logo overlay, picture-in-picture and picture-out-picture modes. A media library, pattern generator and colour generator are built in. Two picture-in-picture layers can be sized and positioned through the menu. Logos are loaded from a USB flash drive and the T-bar enables manual cross-fades between preview and program buses.

Suited for compact live productions

This unit suits operators who need four HDMI inputs, scaled program output and USB-C streaming in a single portable device. It is not for workflows that require more than four video inputs, SDI connectivity or rackmount form factors. Buyers needing integrated recording, streaming encoder functions or larger multiview layouts should look at other solutions.

Questions about this item

Will the T-Bar or HDMI ports need periodic servicing or replacement?

The T-Bar is a mechanical fader and the four HDMI inputs plus two HDMI outputs are solid-state; no user-serviceable parts are listed, so normal studio care is the only upkeep expected.

What limits continuous operation of the four HDMI inputs and USB-C streaming output?

The compact metal chassis relies on passive cooling, so sustained multi-format switching and USB-C streaming are bounded by thermal headroom rather than a stated time limit.

How much fan noise or heat does the metal case produce during all-day streaming?

No fan is mentioned; the unit uses a passively cooled metal enclosure, so audible noise is minimal and surface temperature rises only with ambient conditions and continuous HDMI throughput.
