Rugged Access Keypad for Secure Entry

The Linear 212R is a surface-mount keypad built for indoor or outdoor access control. Its cast aluminum housing and metal faceplate resist weather and tampering. The unit supports up to 120 user codes on a 12-button layout with metal Braille markings. It operates on 12 to 24V AC/DC with auto-adjusting input.

Sustained Operation in Harsh Conditions

The keypad functions continuously across a temperature range of 20 to 130 degrees Fahrenheit. Four SPDT relays rated at 5A AC, Form C at 24V DC, handle repeated switching without an event audit trail. The painted gray finish protects the cast aluminum from corrosion during long-term exposure. No cylinder is included for mechanical override.

Verify Voltage and Mounting Before Ordering

Confirm your power supply delivers 12 to 24V AC or DC to match the auto-adjusting input. Ensure the mounting surface accommodates a 3 3/4 inch width by 5 1/4 inch height footprint with 2 1/2 inch depth. The stand-alone design requires no external controller, but wiring must support the relay output specifications.

Questions about this item

How much power does the Linear 212R keypad draw when running all day on a 24V supply?

It accepts 12 to 24V AC/DC auto-adjusting and each of the four SPDT relays is rated at 5A AC, Form C at 24V DC.

What separate power source must I already have to operate this keypad?

You need a 12 to 24V AC/DC supply; the keypad auto-adjusts within that range.

Will the 120 user codes I program into the Linear 212R still work if I keep my older 12V access controller?

Yes, the keypad operates from 12 to 24V AC/DC, so a 12V system is within its input range.
