Ultra-Thin Bat Grip Tape

Lizard Skins DSP Ultra Bat Grip Tape is a 0.5 mm thick grip wrap designed for baseball and softball bats. It uses a Durasoft Polymer backing with a full adhesive back and pre-cut ends for straightforward application. The tape measures 39 inches long and includes a finish strip for a clean look.

Players Seeking Maximum Bat Feel

This suit players who want the thinnest possible layer between their hands and the bat for optimal feedback and control. The textured pattern provides slip resistance in all weather while reducing vibration on contact. It is not for players who prefer a thicker, cushioned grip to absorb more sting or increase handle diameter.

0.5 mm Thickness Decides Fit

The half-millimetre profile is the single specification that determines whether this tape matches your preference. It preserves the original handle shape almost entirely while adding tackiness and vibration damping. Buyers who want more padding or a larger grip circumference should look at thicker alternatives.

Questions about this item

How much vibration does the 0.5 mm DSP Ultra grip actually absorb during all-day batting practice?

The Durasoft Polymer backing and textured pattern are designed to reduce vibration so you can keep a relaxed, tension-free swing over long sessions.

What tools or supplies do I need before I start wrapping this 39-inch grip on my bat?

The grip arrives with pre-cut ends, a full adhesive back and a finish strip, so you can install it on wood, aluminum or composite bats without extra tape or glue.

Will this mint-colored grip stay tacky on my older composite bat in cold or wet weather?

Yes — the slip-resistant texture is built for all-weather performance and the adhesive back bonds securely to composite, aluminum or wood barrels.
