The moulded strain relief and snag-free boots protect the RJ45 plugs during installation and removal. Suitable for home, office or rack patching where short runs are needed.

Upgrade from Cat5e or damaged cords

These cables replace older Cat5e patch leads or any worn, kinked or loose-connection cords in a Gigabit network. The 550MHz rating and T-568B wiring support full Gigabit speeds, so the jump is worth it when existing cables cause drop-outs or fail certification tests. They also add colour-coded organisation for quick port identification in dense panels.

Headroom for Gigabit, not 10G

The 550MHz bandwidth comfortably handles 1GbE over the one-foot length with ample margin for alien crosstalk. It does not meet the tighter crosstalk limits required for 10GBASE-T, so runs needing 10GbE should use Cat6A or higher. The stranded construction keeps the cables flexible for patch-panel density but is not rated for in-wall or plenum installation.
