Multi-platform wireless headset

The Logitech Astro A50 X is a wireless gaming headset with an included Base Station that supports Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PC and Mac. It uses LIGHTSPEED wireless for the console link and Bluetooth for a second device so you can hear both at once. On-ear controls let you tap between platforms without reaching for a menu. The over-ear design weighs 370 g and uses 40 mm drivers for a 20 to 20,000 Hz frequency response.

HDMI 2.1 passthrough upgrade

The Base Station adds HDMI 2.1 passthrough capable of 4K 120 Hz video and 24 bit audio, replacing a direct console-to-TV cable run. The jump is worth it when you want lossless console audio and high-refresh video through one dock without swapping cables. A 6.0 mm unidirectional boom mic carries a 48 kHz LIGHTSPEED uplink for broadcast-quality chat that outperforms typical wireless boom microphones.

Sustained session comfort and power

The magnetic dock charges the headset whenever it sits in the cradle, so battery life covers all-day use without a mid-session plug-in. G HUB and the mobile app provide a 10-band parametric EQ, mic settings, noise reduction and stream output mixing that stay active during long sessions. The 185 x 182.2 x 88.4 mm frame distributes weight for extended wear without hotspot pressure.

Questions about this item

How much desk space does the magnetic Base Station dock occupy?

The dock measures 185 mm wide by 182.2 mm deep by 88.4 mm high, so allow roughly that footprint plus cable clearance.

Which cable must be plugged into the HDMI 2.1 Passthru port before the console will send audio to the headset?

Connect the console's HDMI output to the base station's HDMI 2.1 Passthru input, then run a second HDMI cable from the passthru output to the display; the headset will not receive console audio if the passthru chain is broken.

What part of the 6.0 mm unidirectional boom microphone is most likely to need replacement after heavy use?

The flexible boom arm and its mute-flip mechanism see the most wear; Logitech sells a replacement boom mic module separately if the capsule or hinge fails.
