Lightweight Wireless Gaming Mouse

The Logitech G305 weighs 99 grams and connects through LIGHTSPEED wireless technology with a 1 ms report rate. Its HERO optical sensor tracks at 400 IPS and reaches 12000 DPI for precise aiming. Six programmable buttons and on-board memory for five DPI levels let you configure the mouse once and use it anywhere without software. A single AA battery powers up to 250 hours of continuous play in Performance mode.

Upgrade From Wired or Lower-DPI Mice

Switching makes sense when cable drag limits your movement or when your current sensor tops out well below 12000 DPI. The 10x power-efficiency gain over older sensors means far longer sessions per battery. Mechanical button tensioning also reduces click force for crisper, more consistent actuation during rapid fire.

Check USB Port and OS Compatibility

You need a free USB port for the LIGHTSPEED receiver, which stores inside the mouse when travelling. Supported systems are Windows 7 or later, macOS 10.13 or later, and Chrome OS. Internet access is only required if you want to customise buttons and DPI steps through Logitech G HUB.

Questions about this item

What size AA battery does the G305 take and where is the compartment?

The mouse runs on one standard AA battery; the compartment is under the top cover, which lifts off to reveal the slot and the built-in USB receiver storage.

How do I pair the LIGHTSPEED receiver with the mouse the first time?

Plug the receiver into a USB port, turn the mouse on with the bottom switch, and wait a few seconds — the link is automatic; a common mistake is leaving the mouse in the off position during pairing.

When should I replace the AA battery and how will I know?

The battery indicator flashes red at 15 % remaining; at the default 1 ms report rate you get up to 250 hours of continuous play before a swap is needed.
