What this headset does

The Logitech G431 is a wired gaming headset that delivers DTS 7.1 surround sound through large 50 mm audio drivers. It is built for players who want positional audio cues on PC, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. The 6 mm folding microphone uses noise-cancelling circuitry for clearer voice chat. A USB digital audio converter and a 3.5 mm Y-splitter are included for broad device compatibility.

Build and daily connections

The frame measures 172 mm by 182 mm by 81.7 mm and weighs 259 grams. Premium faux-leather ear cushions and a padded headband aim to reduce pressure during long sessions. A 2 metre 3.5 mm cable reaches a desktop tower comfortably, while the 12 cm USB converter and the 12 cm Y-splitter keep the desk tidy when switching between console and PC. The microphone flips up to mute instantly.

Thermals, noise and power

Passive drivers draw all power from the host device so no battery charging is required. The closed-back ear cups isolate game audio and limit sound leakage into the room. The noise-cancelling microphone filters background hum without adding electronic hiss. Because the headset has no active cooling or amplification, it runs silently and adds negligible load to a controller or USB port.
