Full-size mechanical keyboard

The Logitech K845 is a full-size wired mechanical keyboard with 104 keys and a numeric keypad. It uses Green clicky tactile switches and an aluminum top shell with 43 percent post-consumer recycled plastic. Five backlight modes and an adjustable tilt angle are built in for gaming or long typing sessions.

Upgrade from membrane or low-profile boards

The jump is worth it when you want distinct tactile feedback and an audible click on every keystroke. A 1.8 metre cable gives a reliable wired connection without latency concerns. Buyers who need silent linear switches or a compact layout without a number pad will not find those options here.

Build integration and requirements

The keyboard connects through a single USB port on Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 and requires no extra software for basic operation. Its low 6.5 mm depth and 780 gram weight keep the desk footprint small while the aluminum frame adds rigidity. No wireless function or additional macro keys are included.

Questions about this item

How much desk depth does the 435 mm wide aluminum frame require?

The keyboard measures 127 mm from front edge to rear edge, so allow at least that much clear depth on the desk.

Which step do users skip when connecting the 1.8 m USB cable?

Plug the cable into a free USB port before positioning the keyboard; the PC must detect the device first for the 5 backlight modes to activate.

When should the green clicky tactile switches be replaced?

Mechanical switches are rated for tens of millions of actuations; replace individual switches only if a specific key becomes inconsistent or noisy.
